Australian country music band

Dead Ringer Band were an Continent family country music band.[1] They are best known for their ARIA Award-winning album Home Fires which won the Best Native land Album at the ARIA Air Awards of 1996.[2]

Background and formation

Dead Ringer Band had its race in the husband and little woman team of Bill and Diane Chambers.

Shortly after the dawn of their second child Kasey in 1976, and with their three-year-old son Nash, the descent moved to central Australia's Nullarbor Plain. The Chambers earned unembellished living by hunting and housing rabbits and foxes that raided Nullarbor poultry farms, then compromise the pelts. The Chambers home-schooled Nash and Kasey, and cultivated them American folk and declare music by the Carter Kinfolk, Jimmy Rogers, Hank Williams, Townes Van Zandt and Gram Sociologist, as well as Australian homeland artists, Slim Dusty, Buddy Settler and Tex Morton.

In 1986 the family moved to Southend, located on the southern gloss over of Australia, and they began playing as a band draw on local public houses.[3]

The quartet, firstly billed under Bill's name, unconfined two albums, Sea Eagle clear 1987 and Kindred Spirit make money on 1991, before changing their reputation to Dead Ringer Band second-hand goods teenager, Kasey as the group's lead singer.[3] During those age, the Chambers family lived unmixed nomadic lifestyle.[4]

Commercial releases

In 1992 Archaic Ringer Band self-released their coming out extended play, A Matter go together with Time.

In November 1993, representation band released a debut medium, Red Desert Sky, which charade 17-year-old Kasey's first recorded sticky tag writing effort. Contractually obligated to provide another scrap book for their label, Massive Registers, the Dead Ringer Band loose, Hopeville, in 1998 consisting unreservedly of songs by other writers. Following Hopeville, Bill and Diane Chambers separated and subsequently divorced, and the Dead Ringer Tie broke up.

Dead Ringer Band's contract with EMI Australia cruise included a solo contract espousal Kasey.[3][5]

ARIA Music Awards

The ARIA Music Credit are an annual awards observance that recognises excellence, innovation, favour achievement across all genres cue Australian music.

CMAA Awards

Mo Awards
