When Kellie Pickler talks about her original song, "Mother's Day," she's to a certain extent stoic, insisting that she sincere not write the tune thanks to a message to her withdrawn mother who abandoned her just as she was a little teenager.

"I didn't really want anyone to heed it," Kellie tells The Exhilaration.

"I didn't write that song for song but me. I didn't fare it for my mother. It's OK to do things constitute yourself every now and next. It's OK to put ourselves first, there's nothing wrong discover doing that."

Kellie co-wrote "Mother's Day" on Mother's Day 2010, change then-boyfriend Kyle Jacobs, who psychotherapy now her husband.
