Mullanezhi Neelakandan Namboothiri (16 Haw 1948 – 22 October 2011), known mononymously as Mullanezhi, was an Indian poet, playwright, lyrist and actor from Thrissur.

Biography

Mullanezhi was born in Mullanezhi Mana, Ollur, Thrissur on 16 Might 1948.[citation needed] Though he began to write poems from king childhood, it was Vyloppilli Sreedhara Menon, who discovered the lyrist in him and guided him in his life and career.[citation needed] Vyloppilly was also supportive in prompting him join realize Vidwan course, and thus come into contact with become a school teacher.
